Risk of incompatibility is diminished
REASON: presuppose that two people are perfectly matched
EVIDENT: because they belong to the same culture, share the same religious upbringing, speak the same language, and raised in more or less the same socio-economic class easier for the couple to communicate with each other and understand where each “is coming from.”
REASON: The couple may not know each other well and only get to know after they are married EVIDENT: they now get to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each other, which may be probably too late skip the process of courtship which allows the couple to get to know each other.
Idea of divorcing is unthinkable
