Abstract Chemistry is one branch of science that deals with matter, its compositions and properties. In the Philippines, chemistry is usually thought on third year high school students who finds the subject hard. Because of this, the developers developed a Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) for the said subject. CAI is a method by which text and visual information is presented to the users through the computer. The purpose of this study is to aid both students and educators in learning and teaching chemistry. The software is able to help students by presenting them topics (trough a computer) that are created by their teachers. With the integration of simulations, exercises, and videos, the developers are assured that students would find this CAI interesting. With the development of this CAI, the developers have high hopes that the future developers will be able to develop similar software for different subjects.

i

Preface Computer Aided Instructions is effectively used to address academic and

communication/language skills. This particular CAI focuses on the academic side and is concerned on how the students will familiarize themselves in chemistry. This also will aid teachers on teaching the said subject. In order for this study to become successful, the proponents have conducted interviews...
