At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
Observe, collect, record and interpret experimental data and make sound conclusions based on logical and scientific arguments.
Report data and results reflecting the reliability of the instrument and equipment used to make the measurement 3.
Apply significant figures in measurements and related chemical calculations
Collect data that is reproducible and within an acceptable margin of error 5.
Use common glassware and equipment and practice good laboratory skills and techniques
Write and read the chemical formulas of simple inorganic compounds and interpret balanced chemical equations
Classify matter, separate mixtures using separation procedures such as filtration, evaporation, sublimation and distinguish chemical and physical properties/changes 8.
Prepare solutions from an experimental procedure
Apply the basic principles, laws and theories of Chemistry to experiments, practical situations and appreciate the role of Chemistry in everyday life 10.
