* Write all assignments in your agenda. There is no such thing as “No Homework.” Studying notes and re-reading the text is important for success. * Completing assigned homework as directed and in the spirit in which it was assigned. * Returning homework in the bins by the designated time.

* Submitting homework assignments, which reflect careful attention to detail and quality of work. * Write your heading in the upper right hand corner of your paper. A paper without a name will be given an automatic zero.

Classroom Rules and Policies
* Come to class on time. Standing outside the door and rushing in after the bell has begun to ring will constitute an unsatisfactory tardy. You must be INSIDE the door and in your seat when the bell rings to be considered on time. * Attend to personal needs before coming to class. I have been instructed to limit the number of official hall passes, so please do not ask for a pass unless you have a true emergency. * Remain in your assigned seat unless you have permission to get up. Each student is required to have a covered pencil sharpener; this will avoid disturbing your fellow students during class time. Please throw scraps and pencil shavings away at the end of the period on your way out. * Do not eat candy or other food in class (including the chewing of gum) unless you have been given special permission. * Bring required materials every day unless you are otherwise directed. This means your TEXTBOOK! * Talk only when permitted. Be aware of the situation since quiet talking is allowed in some situations and speaking to the entire group without raising your hand may be allowed in others. I will remind you once and expect compliance. * Use polite speech and body language. Unkind teasing and impolite behavior is unacceptable. The words “shut up” and/or “stupid” will not be tolerated…I do not use those words and neither will you. * Do not cheat. Students caught cheating will receive a zero and a phone call home. Both the student who shares his/her work AND the person who copies it will suffer the same consequences. I expect you to do your own work and be sure no one can copy. * Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Copying and pasting information and then claiming it to be your own is a form of plagiarism! ALWAYS put things in your own words. Quoting from a...
