IV-St. Albert

Marriage is a sacred sacrament that binds a man and a woman to love and be faithful to each other now and till the end of time. It is a blessing to two partners who made their vow to our lord to cherish the love of each other and receive the blessing from our lord Jesus Christ. As a sacrament, Marriage is a union of two opposite sex. Each person in a marriage gives up some rights on their lives in exchange for rights over the life of the other. In marriage both man and woman will share their lives with each other. It is sealed by the blessing of the Lord, so both man and woman are expected to procreate and have mutual support for each other. It only ends at the death of the other. On a wedding ritual, the new white bridal dress plays a very important role in a marriage since it symbolizes youth and innocence. Wedding dress is only worn once by the bride. Wedding cake in ancient times symbolizes fertility. Flower as a symbol of Fidelity. Roses are the flowers of love. The popular wedding month of all time is June. In early Greeks believed that ivy is a sign of everlasting love. Flower girls are usually a close family member who will be throwing flowers on the way of the bride. Rice throwing is a symbol of fertility and long life. The guest throws rice as a wish for children and good life. Wedding rings as a symbol of eternal love for both bride and groom. It symbolize that both man and woman are committed to each other till death. Veils is a sign of modesty and secrecy and it will removed by the husband after the wedding ceremony. I therefore conclude that family is no doubt the basic foundation of any nation and it is the haven where citizens are raised and acquire their values, traditions and customs. It is therefore extremely important to think of marriage as it is the only way to form a family .Marriage is the bond that ties a couple together in order to create a family that should provide warmth and happiness to husband, wife and children. However, this is not the case in all marriages as the rate of divorce has increased drastically. So what are the reasons behind divorce and how could we solve this problem which is taking its toll of human life and society and the nation as a whole. Last but not least, the reaction of the married couples varies from one person to another. Some wives refuse to accept the fact that marriage is just a new stage not a prison where they are tied down to certain unending daily chores. Their rejection is perceived in total negligence and disregard to their duties toward husband and children. Other wives tend to compare between their status and responsibilities and that of their husbands. They feel jealous because their husbands are at work spending most of their day in a stimulating and challenging atmosphere. While on the other hand they are left all alone with whining babies who never give their moms any peace or quiet. In short marriage to them becomes a nightmare and is not what they expected it to be.
