He won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his discovery of the periodic system. He also won the Davy Medal from the Royal Society of England, the Copley Medal, the Society’s highest award, and honorary degrees from universities around the world. He won the Domidov Prize for a book that he wrote entitled organic chemistry. Describe the contribution or discovery that made this person a very important chemist. Dmitri Mendeleev’s biggest accomplishment was to develop the periodic system. He is considered as a scientist that did not make everything depend on his own work but developed them on information from other scientists as well and he build upon it. He used data from other scientists along with his own data to arrange the elements according to their properties and he was the one who was credited for those findings.
