Distinguish between operant conditioning, observational learning, and social learning. How are these different kinds of learning utilized in the work place? Give specific examples for each one. oOperant Conditioning: conditioning in which an operant response is brought under stimulus control by virtue of presenting reinforcement contingent upon the occurrence of the operant response •o Observational Learning: is learning that occurs through observing the behavior of others •oSocial Learning: is learning that takes place at a wider scale than individual or group learning, up to a societal scale, through social interaction between peers. •Classical conditioning involves pairing a previously neutral stimulus with an unconditioned stimulus. oSimilar to a whistle for dinner or to get off work. It’s something that’s always there but may have an alternative effect on you. This could hurt your reputation at work by getting to comfortable and set in your ways, as when changes are made you may buck up to those changes. •Operant conditioning focuses on using either reinforcement or punishment to increase or decrease a behavior. o
