John Wayne Gacy, Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois, the second of three children. He was born on March 17, 1942 ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). Gacy is of Polish and Danish heritage ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). His father was an alcoholic and use to abuse him and call him out his name ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). Gacy’s father would call him “sissy.” ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). His mother on the other hand was a good mother ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). She and Gacy had a good relationship along with the sisters ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). The mother and the sisters would call Gacy “Johnny.” ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers") When Gacy was 11, he was struck on the forehead by a swing ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). In result, he had a head trauma that formed a blood clot in his brain ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). The blood clot went unnoticed until he was 16, when he began to suffer blackouts ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He was prescribed medication to dissolve the clot ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). Gacy attended four high schools and didn’t complete senior year at any ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He dropped out. John left his family back home to go west ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). While he was in Nevada, Las Vegas he ran out of money ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He got a job just to save up enough to come back home to Chicago, where he would enroll at Northwestern Business College ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). Right after college Gacy received a job at Nunn-Bush Shoe Company, in 1964 ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). There he met a woman by the name of Marlynn Myers and they got married that September of 1964("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). At this point of Gacy’s life he is living in Springfield, Illinois ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He is a part of many organizations in Springfield. He eventually moved to Waterloo, Iowa because his wife’s parents offered him a manager job at KFC ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). Gacy and Marlynn had two kids together, a boy and a girl. Gacy was still working at KFC working hard for his new family ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He still managed to help out with organizations. In 1967 rumors of Gacy’s homosexuality were starting to leak ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He was still awarded with “outstanding vice-president” of his organization. He began cheating on his wife regularly ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He also built a club in his basement for the young Waterloo boys ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). They were able to drink alcohol, and he would make sexual advances towards them ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). In March 1968 two Waterloo boys, aged 15 and 16, accused Gacy of sexually assaulting them ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). John Gacy stated he was innocent, and looked to be getting off ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). He had another young boy of Waterloo beat up one of his accusers ("John Wayne Gacy | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers"). Police found out and the kid Gacy hired confessed everything. Gacy was arrested. He was convicted of sodomy and sentenced to 10...
