This essay covers the pros and cons concerning gay marriage. You will discover some new laws and amendments that are about to happen in our country, and some things that people are against. There are many issues that will be covered from rights and benefits to getting married legally. You will read reports, stories and articles from lawyers, newspaper reporters and news reporters on the pros and cons of gay marriage. There will also be a list of states that have passed the gay marriage right law, what it entails and when it came into effect. There will also be statements from lawyers stating how not recognizing gay marriage is unconstitutional and prejudice against gays, lesbians, transgender, etc. This subject has been at the center of controversy lately with both sides thinking that they are right.

Everyone should have the same rights when it comes to marriage, regardless of you are. It shouldn’t matter if you are black, white, purple, man, women or transgender; what is legal for one should be legal for all. Who is to say who we are and who we fall in love with…certainly not the government! People have been prejudice for so long and over many things; one of the biggest being about the black American. Gay marriage rights is now one that people are prejudice over. Didn’t God create all equal? Well it is about time we started treating everyone equal, don’t you think?

First you have the “anti-gay marriage” people. This group believes that only a man and a woman should be married. This is the way it is, has been forever, and should remain as is. One of the biggest reasons that people say this has to do with God and the bible. What is written there is law and should never be changed.  Rev. Philip H.
