1. Which combinations of substances resulted in a chemical change? Answer:
The potassium nitrate and the ammounuiam hydroxide had a chemical change. It started bubbling and getting really foggy. The calcium nitrate and ammonuiam hydroxide did nothing. It's all clear still, but no chemical change. The copper nitrate and ammonuiam hydroxide turned a bluish color so that had a chemical change.
2. For each metal that participated in a chemical change, write the type of metal it is, based on your examination of the periodic table. Answer: Ammouniam Vandrate had a chemical change but it turned out to be a transition metal, no other metal. The sulfates had more transition atoms going through the chemical, more than an original transition atom normally. Doing this showed me also that iron nitrate is an transition metal as well, same with the cobalt, copper, and zinc nitrate.
3. Were there any metallic compounds that did not react with either the acid or the base? Write the type of metal, based on your examination of the periodic table. Answer: The alkakine metals seem to me while doing this lab that they had no chemical changes. Which would be th
